"Resolutions Fitness is a great name for Simone's company as our engagement with Simone started with the resolution to make a change in our lives. My wife and I have been working with Simone for the last 18 months. Simone started with taking my wife on as a 1on1 client training her to help improve fitness, core strength and to knock off the Saint Clair Half Marathon after 20 years on little to no exercise. Janine completed the half in a great time and is continuing to train with Simnoe on a regular basis.
For me, Simone has become my "Fitness Mentor" - I suffer from the normal male issue of thinking I know it all. After 8 months of struggling with my goals due to injury and poor planning, Janine convinced me to get Simone to prepare a plan for me to work to. 8 months on I have a plan and structure to my training, which Simone provides on a monthly schedule cycle, working around my goals and work schedule. We normally catch up over email and the phone with occasional 1on1 training sessions. In the last 12months I have completed three half marathons and have lost 10kgs. I am injury free and enjoying my training!"

"When I first started with Resolutions Fitness, I couldn't run for 3mins without feeling like I was about to have a heart attack or break an ankle. After 8sessions and following the program set out personally for me, I'm running for 20mins and have lost 5kgs and maintaining the weight loss. I eat better, I feel better, I have more energy and I love it. Each session is different and pushes me to my personal limits. My goal now is to run a half marathon at the start of 2009. I first met Simone in mid November 08 when I decided to run a marathon in November 09. I am overweight and rapidly approaching 50 and had no fitness to speak of. I found Simone's approach to be direct, thorough, honest and professional, fun and supportive. My mind constantly plays games with my head that I cannot do this and Simone constantly reinforces the message that I can. When I started with Simone in late November I could not run for a bus let alone manage to get round the park. Last weekend I ran 8.2k and that has really been achieved in two months. I did some damage to my leg in December which meant I could not train in the same way - but Simone kept on encouraging me and took me swimming. So although I was not running at least I was doing something. She wrote me a programme for my holiday in late December- early January which allowed me to start back walking and running and to have achieved the run on Sunday really confirmed that I am on my way to reach my goal of running the New York Marathon in 2009. Each month Simone prepares a programme for me and I tick off the runs and events as I do them and physically feel and see my progress. I will reach my goal with Simone's help.
My key learnings from Simone are to listen to what she says - she has great knowledge and advice for someone so young- a wise head on young shoulders. Her no nonsense friendly approach and belief in her clients will help you achieve your goals whatever they are.
